Funio NameServers (NS)

Updated over a week ago

These are the servers that host your DNS zones. Those will translate your domain name into the IP address of your server, as a postal code.

Funio hosts 2 DNS clusters to handle the DNS requests from your web servers. You can manage your DNS zone in cPanel or in your Funio Hub.

The choice depends on how you would like to manage each domain name. All domains need name servers set up properly to ensure the serviceability of your website or your emails.

Which name servers should I use for my domain?

Try to answer these questions.

Do you host your website with Funio?

If you do, you have cPanel, which allows you to manage your DNS zone.

Did you buy a domain name with Funio?

If you don't have any hosting plan or VPS, the only other option to manage your DNS zone is from your client area, Funio Hub.

Panelbox NameServers

If you host any shared hosting plans or VPS with us, we recommend using these Name Servers. You will manage your domain DNS zone and your website features in cPanel, everything in the same place.

How to find these NameServers?

You will receive those in the Welcome Letter when you buy your hosting plan. Also, you can contact us via your Funio Hub, and we will be glad to provide you with this information.

IO-Servers NameServers

If you register your domain name with Funio, but you don't have any hosting with us, we recommend using these Name Servers. You will manage your domain DNS zone from your Funio Hub.

IO-Servers nameservers operate independently of hosting, enabling users to manage DNS zones seamlessly. This flexibility is particularly suitable for users without active hosting plans who still need to maintain control over their domain configurations.

How to find these NameServers?

These name servers are set by default when you buy a domain name. You will find them on your Funio Hub: Domain Registration > My Domains > select your domain > Name Servers> Use default nameservers. Also, you can contact us via your Funio Hub, and we will be glad to provide you with this information.

If you are managing your domain without a hosting plan, you can continue to use IO-Servers' nameservers without interruption. Cancelling a hosting plan has no impact on domains using IO-Servers nameservers, but domains using Panelbox NameServers may require reconfiguration as their DNS zones are tied to active hosting plans.
