Servers Migrations - V5 to V7, Summer 2017

During Summer 2017, we are going to migrate accounts on V5 servers to V7 servers. Thanks to this change, you will now be able to take advantage more performance and security, in addition to services such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, free SSL with Let's Encrypt, MariaDB 10.1, PostgreSQL and much more.

You received an email with the date and hour of your account's migration, as well as all the new info you might need (server name, IP address). You will also find in this email information on your DNS settings and if you need to proceed to some changes or not.

Here is a short guide to help you in this case.

Your name servers are ns1.panelboxmanager.com and ns2.panelboxmanager.com

Our team will take care of it all.

If you have additional domain names hosted with Funio, make sure to contact your registrar and point these domains to the new IP address we emailed you.

To make sure your emails keep working

We invite you to update the settings of your email client (Outlook, Mail, Thunderbird...). Instead of the name of the server (sXXX.panelboxmanager.com), please make sure your now use mail.yourdomainname.com (where yourdomainname.com is of course your domain name).

Your name servers are ns1.io-servers.com and ns2.io-servers.com, or you use external DNS

Your must update your DNS configuration with the new IP (as a A record). We sent you your new IP in the email about the migration.

If you have additional domain names hosted with Funio, make sure to contact your registrar and point these domains to the new IP address we emailed you.

You use Private DNS

The Private DNS service will be deactivated just after the migration.
It is therefore crucial to change your name servers for:

  • ns1.panelboxmanager.com
  • ns2.panelboxmanager.com

Also, make sure you copy your DNS zone and transfer it to this new DNS zone.

If you have additional domain names hosted with Funio, make sure to contact your registrar and point these domains to the new IP address we emailed you.

You are a reseller

If you use name servers such as panelboxmanager.com, you won't need to change anything unless for the additional domains hosted on your plan. For these, you need to point them to your hosting plan with the new IP address we sent you. This change is done on your registrar's end.

If you use other name servers or you have a custom DNS configuration, make sure you update it with the new IP address we sent you.
