Create a MySQL database

MySQL databases are commonly used on modern websites

When manually installing a CMS, like WordPress or Joomla, a MySQL database must be created beforehand. The database name, username, and password will be requested during the installation process.

Prerequisites

  • Access to cPanel or

  • Access to Funio Hub

How to do it?

  1. Log in to your cPanel.

  2. Click on MySQL Database Wizard, under the Database section.

  3. Enter the name of the database and click on Next Step.

  4. Create a user by filling the fields and click on Create User.

  5. Choose the privileges* for the user and click on Next Step.

*Usually all privileges are required, unless otherwise specified, that depends on you.
