Wildcard SSL : Securing a New Subdomain

Installing a Wildcard SSL certificate to protect a subdomain is easy!

Prerequisites

  • Access to cPanel

  • Have an Wildcard SSL Certificate

Completion of the task: 10 minutes

Expertise: beginner 

How to do it?

  1. Log into your cPanel interface through your Funio Hub.

  2. Click the SSL/TLS button in the SECURITY section

  3. Select Manage SSL sites on right hand side

  4. Select the subdomain for which you wan to install the SSL certificate in the Domain drop down option.

  5. Paste the certificate in the Certificate: (CRT) field.

  6. Click the Autofill by certificate button. The Private Key and the CA Bundle fields will be completed automatically. If that's not the case you will need to paste them manually.

  7. Hit the Install certificate button and you are done!
